New Ekiti CP, Falade, Assumes Office, Promises Professional Policing

The Ekiti State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty of Commissioner of Police (CP) Falade Adegoroye Michael as the new Commissioner of Police in the state.
This was made known in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu.
According to the statement, CP Falade takes over from the immediate past Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, who was recently elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG).
The Command described the new police boss as a highly experienced and accomplished officer with a strong record in policing, operations, administration, and human rights.
A native of Atakumosa West Local Government Area of Osun State, CP Falade holds a First Class degree in Mathematics Education from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
He joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) after completing his training at the Nigeria Police Academy.
Before his deployment to Ekiti State, he served as the Commissioner of Police in charge of K9, Dei-Dei, Abuja.
Over the years, he has held several strategic positions within the Force, including Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in both Niger and Taraba State Commands.
His career profile also includes service as Area Commander in Zamfara State and Ihiala, Anambra State, as well as Assistant Commissioner of Police at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Imo State.
CP Falade also served as Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Elemoro, Lagos, and as Officer-in-Charge of Human Rights at SCID Panti, Lagos.
The statement further noted that the new Commissioner of Police has attended several professional courses aimed at strengthening his leadership, investigative, and operational capabilities.
Some of the trainings include the Strategic Leadership Command Course at the National Institute of Police Studies, Abuja, Tactical Leadership Command Course in Lagos, Human Rights Course, Financial Management Course at the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Badagry, and the Advanced Detective Course in Jos.
The Ekiti Police Command expressed confidence in his ability to improve security across the state, saying his wealth of experience would help in tackling crime and protecting lives and property.
CP Falade is married and blessed with children
